It’s a long season but the Meudons were still out in force at today’s Round 2 of the Ottershaw series with Craig Peter hoping to improve on his 2nd place from last week.

Not a cloud in sight and the potential boredom 14 laps of the Accommodation Rd circuit must have been the catalyst for a very fast race as the 95kms were covered in just 2hrs 6mins and despite continued attacks no real break seemed like getting away.

So with just one lap of the 6.5km circuit left it looked odds on for a bunch sprint however as they came round the last corner with 500mtrs to go last weeks winner Martin Smith had clipped away for a 100mtre gap with Justin Lomas for company…….at the line Lomas took it from Smith but Craig was up there in 3rd place and able to hang on to his 2nd overall.
